Arkansas Championship purse holds at $3m as Nishimura chases maiden win
Yuna Nishimura takes a five-shot lead into the final round at Pinnacle Country Club with a $450,000 first prize on offer at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.

Yuna Nishimura will carry a five-shot advantage into the final round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, putting her in prime position to claim her first LPGA Tour title and the $450,000 winner's cheque that goes with it.
Auston Kim, Mary Liu and Michelle Zhang share second place, according to Golf Monthly, with all three needing a significant turnaround at Pinnacle Country Club to catch the leader over the closing 18 holes.
The tournament has been played without interruption this year, a contrast to 2025 when the event was cut to a single round after severe weather forced organisers to abandon much of the schedule, Golf Monthly reports.
Whoever lifts the trophy will match the payday collected by last year's champion, Jasmine Suwannapura, with the purse unchanged at $3 million since it was increased to that figure in 2024.
The runner-up stands to earn just under $300,000 if they finish alone in second, while the prize money tapers sharply beyond the top three, according to the breakdown published by Golf Monthly.
Third place is worth $205,279 and fourth $158,799, with anyone finishing inside the top six guaranteed an initial payout in six figures before the final distribution is confirmed.
Beyond the leading positions, the money narrows quickly: seventh place earns $87,534, while eighth and ninth are locked together on $76,690 apiece, per the figures reported by Golf Monthly.
The full breakdown, based on 65 players making the cut, runs all the way down to $6,971 for 65th place, illustrating how steeply the purse drops away outside the leading group.
Prize money is not the only incentive on the line this week. Points towards the Race To CME Globe are also up for grabs, with the season-ending Playoffs now drawing closer on the LPGA calendar.
A strong finish at Pinnacle Country Club would therefore carry weight beyond the immediate cheque, with positioning for the Playoffs likely to influence how the leading contenders approach the final round.
Attention now turns to whether Nishimura can convert her overnight lead into a maiden title, with Kim, Liu and Zhang among those needing a low final round to apply pressure over the closing stretch.
