Olivia Cusack keeps sister Maddy's memory alive three years on
Sheffield United's Maddy Cusack died three years ago this month, and her sister Olivia says the family remain determined to see her legacy continue, according to Guardian Sport.

Olivia Cusack has said her sister, the former Sheffield United midfielder Maddy Cusack, remains in her thoughts every day, three years after her death, according to an exclusive interview with Guardian Sport.
Maddy Cusack, a former England youth international, died on 20 September 2023. Her family and friends marked the anniversary with a fundraising walk over the weekend.
Olivia, together with relatives and friends of Maddy, walked 29 miles from Bramall Lane, Sheffield United's home ground, to the family's home in Horsley, near Derby, on Saturday.
The walk was organised to raise funds and awareness, Guardian Sport reports.
Olivia said she is determined to ensure her sister's "legacy lives on", speaking three years after Maddy's death.
The family are still waiting for clarity around the circumstances of Maddy's death. Olivia described the process as a "frustrating and confusing" one, according to the interview.
Maddy Cusack spent her career at Sheffield United, where she was known as a midfielder before her death in September 2023.
The Cusack family's walk from Bramall Lane to Horsley formed the centrepiece of this year's tribute, with those close to Maddy joining Olivia for the full 29-mile route.
The continuing wait for answers has not deterred the family from pressing ahead with efforts to honour Maddy's memory, with Olivia's comments to Guardian Sport underlining the family's focus on keeping her story visible three years on.
